Sam is a clinical microbiologist and senior clinical project manager with over 10 years' experience in drug discovery and clinical development. She has led international, large-scale clinical programmes as well as early drug safety studies in neurological conditions, mental health, cancer and autoimmune conditions. Sam's key passion for clinical research is ensuring that lived experience drives design and outcomes.
Living with multiple sclerosis herself, Sam understands the importance of practical support, community and advocacy. Having benefited from the work of MS Together following her diagnosis, she joined the charity as a volunteer in 2025 before becoming a Trustee. She is committed to helping ensure that people affected by MS have access to the support, opportunities and sense of belonging that can make such a difference to daily life.
