Frequently Asked Questions
Answering our most common questions:
Do you have to live in the UK to join?
Yes, at this moment in time the group is only for people who live in the UK or Ireland. However, you can still access some of our services including our public forum and social media accounts.
Do you have to have a diagnosis of MS to join?
Yes, the group is only for people who have received an official diagnosis of MS. This is because MS Together was set up as a safe space for members to talk to people they can relate to. However, if you are going through an MS diagnosis, please get in touch and we will try and support you as best as we can. As mentioned above, you can still access some of our services without being a member including our public forum and social media accounts. Plus we have lots of links to great resources on our website!
Why is the age limit 35 and what happens when you turn 36?
The group was set up due to there being a lack of support out there specifically for young people. We know this can be frustrating but we hop everyone understands the need for this. We will not make any member leave when they turn 36 however, as time goes on this is something we will be looking into in order to offer some alternative support.
Can people under 18 join?
This will be looked at on a case by case basis but under 18 year old's will generally only be able to join with parental consent.
